Tired.

Didn’t run today.

Felt hungry all day.

Ate a really tasty but totally unhealthy lunch.

But tomorrow is another day…

January 2012

One of the resolutions I made for 2012 was to running regularly and train with smart(er) strategies. [The resolution was actually about a specific number of full and half-marathons, but I quickly learned that wasn’t the smartest idea/resolution.] I got a bit of a slow start in terms of January, but overall 2012 is off to a decent start. Last week felt really good. I’m hoping this week does, too!

So true. And a little sad. More true than sad. I’ve always said that running is cheaper than therapy!

Hello.

I’ve been reading other people’s tumbler blogs long enough to realize they can be a useful place to share all sorts of things. I’ve also read a few, like http://bendoeslife.tumblr.com/, that give me the impression that this will be a great outlet for any and every thought I think may be work sharing. I hope so, but don’t hate me if it isn’t.

At this point, I’m going to use this to share the adventures of the relatively unremarkable life I’m leading: I’m a full-time graduate student, apart-time university instructor, a runner, a vegetarian, an avid and devoted friend/aunt/sister/daughter, a knitter and crafter, an amateur photographer, and a former-and-aspiring traveler. I’m quite comfortable with the “unremarkable” descriptor - really, it’s no plea for encouragement or compliments; I’m not fishing for some ego boost to make me feel better. [Teaching undergrads is the best ego boost ever, so I don’t need any via social networking! Ha! Just kidding… slightly.] My current life is more satisfying than when it was legitimately remarkable, which I appreciate daily.

I’ve used setting this up as enough procrastination for one day, time to get back to research - search terms like interpersonal violence are both interesting and depressing.
